I just needed to configure the USB stick as the Modem! This should in theory dedicate for Windows which connection to use and which is on call to the other O/S. I'm able to get ping replies from google.com or any other site. I have two identical machines, one has ubuntu 10.04 the other ubuntu 10.04 + win7.
All help will be greatly appreciated. It just works.
