This bug has been around for a long time now and makes it unusable for me. Just upgraded to Mountain Lion. Tried it both ways, first with 40-bit WEP, then wide open. This drove me nuts, so when I found it, I just wanted to put it out there to maybe have someone else not go through the madness.
Any idea why, though? Once I set my laptop into wifi sharing, all my devices can connect to the hotspot but none of them actually get any internet access.
