Blowing a channel in the head unit seems to be a common theme. If two pairs of speakers are wired in parallel to the factory amp,the resulting impedancewould probably shut down or burn out the factory amplifier. But check ebay for the Nav systems, got the one I put in our JKU for like $300 and it works perfectly and gives those stock infinity speakers a lil more No hissing, no faint noise, nothing.

While it is possible to add a new amplifier to the factory or aftermarket stereo, I would not recommend this option without replacing the factory installed speakers. easiest solutions is to run new wires from the speaker into the kick and tap the wires there. I pulled the radio fascia/bezel and verified there are no fused connections to the back of the radio as far as I can tell.
