The windows stopped working, the temperature gauge showed --, the interior lights did not come on, the horn did not sound when the remote was pressed to lock the car.

From the Stand Alone Vehicle Description Menu input the vehicle Information.7. If the switch is good, then look for a broken wire(s) in that rubber convoluted boot between the driver's door and the body of the Jeep.
