Believe it or not, flashing the bios from a USB floppy drive solved my issue. It has to detect the keyboard and then install the drivers for it, which it will do eventually.

It found the keyboard, reinstalled it, restarted and nothing changed. Several functions may not work. The alum wireless keyboard won't pair at all. So use that old Windows keyboard one last time before getting rid of it.
